Leading the way in school insurance

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Pennsylvania’s school districts experienced difficulty obtaining responsibly priced insurance products catered to the unique needs of schools. To fill this need, PSBA formed a common law trust known as the Pennsylvania School Boards Association Insurance Trust (PSBA Insurance) in 1971. Since its inception, PSBA Insurance has provided risk management and other services to PSBA members, endorsed insurance products provided by various insurers and produced millions of dollars in direct cost savings to participating school entities. 

 

Continuing its commitment to providing the commonwealth’s school leaders with high-quality services, PSBA members are offered a select group of products to meet their unique needs through strong industry leading insurance partnerships.
